Before and after surgery
Before treatment
Each of our patients is subjected to a thorough diagnosis. A doctor assesses general health of a patient on the basis of an interview. The examination also includes mucosa and overall dental health, as well as periodontal, occlusal and oral hygiene states. In order to avoid infection, inflammation and all the sicknesses must be - unconditionally - cured before the surgery. In addition, there is a need for the photo pantomographic. Moreover, each patient receives a number of additional information about the course of the treatment and its duration.
After treatment
After the surgery has been performed there might be slight, temporary pain and swelling. Therefore, in order to quickly neutralize these symptoms, our experts recommend that patients should use effective oral analgesics (with the exception of acetylsalicylic acid medicines such as aspirin and polopiryna which reduce blood clotting) and cold compresses. Preventive antibiotic is also recommended as it additionally protects patients from unwanted complications. Moreover, as a matter of concern about the proper conduct of the entire treatment and patient’s health, observe carefully the following recommendations;
- do not touch implant with the tongue;
- eating and drinking should take place only after the full recovery of the sensation in the previously desensitized spot
- apply the liquid and pasty food (in addition, particularly in the first days after surgery, avoid food and fluids with elevated (high) temperature);
- in the first two weeks after surgery rinse the mouth after every meal; use boiled, lukewarm water;
- in the initial period after surgery speak relatively little, do not drink alcohol and do not smoke cigarettes;
- avoid strenuous activity;
- avoid sauna and solarium
- usage of liquid disinfectant mouthwash is recommended (on average 2-3 per day)
- always take care of oral hygiene (while brushing the teeth you should avoid the area around the performed surgery).
